49. Electrical Conductivity

Electrical conductivity provides indirect information regarding dissolved salts and the chemical environment surrounding plant roots.

Changes in conductivity may result from irrigation events, fertilisation, evaporation or natural soil processes.

When interpreted together with soil moisture and other environmental variables, conductivity measurements contribute to a more complete understanding of root-zone conditions.

Radixora considers electrical conductivity a complementary engineering parameter whose value increases significantly when analysed within a broader environmental context.
