Its objective is increasing the effective availability of water within the active root zone.
Every engineering decision should therefore be evaluated according to its contribution towards improving water availability where plants can actually use it.
Solutions that merely increase water consumption without improving effective availability do not satisfy the engineering objectives of the platform.
