Engineering water where plants need it.
Radixora is being developed as an integrated soil-water engineering architecture combining hydraulic design, functional materials, monitoring and decision support.
1. Soil
The starting point is the existing soil: its structure, hydraulic behaviour, root zone and natural capacity to retain and release water.
2. Engineering
Radixora studies how geometry and commercially available functional materials can influence the movement and availability of water without creating permanent waterlogging.
3. Monitoring
Sensors measure what happens above, within and below the engineered root zone so that performance can be observed rather than assumed.
4. Regulation
The objective is not maximum water retention. It is maintaining useful water in the right place for the right period while preserving drainage and root aeration.
